Hail Damage Inspection in South Butler, NY

Hail Damage Inspection in South Butler, NY

A hail damage inspection is a roof-surface examination that counts impact strikes within measured test squares to establish whether a roof has sustained claimable damage. South Butler, NY Storm Damage Roof Repair carries these out across South Butler, NY, and the reason they need doing from the roof rather than the driveway comes down to how hail actually behaves.

Hail rarely tears anything off. It bruises. The stone crushes the asphalt mat underneath and knocks the protective granules loose, and the shingle carries on looking more or less intact from ground level while its remaining life drops by years. Homeowners look up, see nothing missing, and assume the storm passed them by. The leaks arrive two seasons later, long after the claim window shut.

Our inspection marks out a ten by ten test square on each slope and counts strikes inside it, because that is the measure adjusters work from. We check the soft metals too. Gutters, vents, flashing and downpipes dent before shingles show anything, so they read as an early indicator of what the roof took.

You get photographs, strike counts per slope and a written scope you can hand to your insurer.
